Day 01 : Arrival

Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transfer to your hotel.  After short refreshment at hotel, we start the sightseeing with visiting to Botataung Pagoda (a famous landmark on Yangon’s water front where can see Buddha’s hair relic), photo stop at City Center ( Sule Pagoda, Mahabandula Park and colonial buildings) and Chauk Htat Gyi Reclining Buddha Image (one of Myanmar largest reclining Buddha images). Then evening visit to the over 2600 year old magnificent Shwedagone Pagoda, the stupa type covered by 60 tons of pure gold leaf. Enjoy the sunset at Shwedagone Pagoda.

Day 02: Yangon – Golden Rock


After breakfast, drive to Kin Pun Base Camp (194 km – 4 hours) and continue to Kyaikhtiyo, the Golden Rock, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. From base camp, we have to drive 13 km to the summit by Local Truck. Then check in at hotel. Visit Kyaiktiyo; Golden Rock and watch the beauty of sunset at this important pilgrimage site.

Day 03: Golden Rock – Bago – Yangon

After breakfast, return to base camp and go back to Yangon. On the way, we do the sightseeing at Bago, the ancient Mon Capital. Interesting places are Shwemawdaw Pagoda (over a thousand years old; its spire is even taller than Shwedagon Pagoda), the 55 meter long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha Image, Kanbawza Thadi Palace (the famous palace of King Bayinnaung  1551 – 1581 A.D) and  Kyaikpun (the four seated pagoda). Return to Yangon and transport to hotel.

Day 04 : Departure

After breakfast at hotel, visit Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) market famous for its colonial architecture and inner cobblestone streets. It is one of the major bazaars in Yangon and built in 1926 by the British. It has the largest selection of Myanmar souvenirs you can find under one roof. You can buy a variety of interesting Myanmar lacquerware, gems and jewellery at this market. After that, you will be transferred to Yangon International airport for your return international departure flight. (OR free morning until your departure time.)
